Top homes
Quality work by New Zealand builders was honoured at an annual industry event held in Auckland.
A LARGE, ELEGANT NEW HOME in Mt Maunganui and a renovation in Auckland have been recognised as New Zealand’s top homes. Both won Supreme Awards at the Registered Master Builders 2015 House of the Year Awards.
Mt Maunganui  rm Shaw Builders won the Registered Master Builders 2015 House of the Year award for the striking beachside mansion at Mt Maunganui, as well as the Craftsmanship Award and the Westpac New Home over $2 million category. Shaw Builders has a track record in the national competition, winning awards for the last 7 years.
Glover Homes won the Supreme Award for the Registered Master Builders 2015 Renovation of the Year, with a major renovation of a home in Albany. The builder also received the SafetyMate Renovation Award over $500,000.
House of the Year – what the judges said
The competition judges said that Shaw Builders Supreme Award-winning house is a home that exudes luxury with views and sun, polished Turkish stone tiling and superb negative detailing throughout.

Renovation of the Year – what the judges said
The judges said the Glover Homes Supreme Renovation of the Year was a major project that wouldn’t have come together without the team of designers and fantastic owners.
‘Encompassing  ve bedrooms,  ve bathrooms and two living areas, this is a home designed to  t the clients’ needs. A new kitchen and butler’s pantry was installed in the heart of the large open- plan dining room.
